An Ordinance amending Section 666 of Chapter 16 Revised Ordi+
names of Salt Lake City; 1913, as amended, relating to appointments
of deputies; assistants and clerks in the office of the City Recorder.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City;, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 666 of Chapter 16, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake 0134. 1913' be, and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
SECTION 666. The Board of Commissioners may appoint in the
office of the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, the following deputy
lee,' assistants and clerks',' at salaries not to exceed the amounts
named:
One chief deputy recorder at a salary of $2100.00 per annum.
In the absence of or during the disability of the City Bow
corder; the chief deputy recorder shall exercise all the functions
and powers of the City Recorder. Be shall give a bond to the City
in the aunt of $1,000.
One chief clerk at $1800.00 per annum.
One deputy recorder who shall act as deputy clerk of the
City court at $1680.00 per annum.
One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy clerk of
the City court at $1,800.00 per annum.
Two deputy city recorders who shall act as deputy clerks
of the City court, each $1;440.00 per annum.

One 4.eputy city recorder who shall act as deputy clerk of
the City court at $1;200.00 per annum.
The Board of Commissioners may employ such clerks,
steno-
graphers and other employees as may be necessary for the proper con-
duct of said. office, at such salaries as may be designated by said.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall ake effect thirty-one
days after its passage.
