Burton EE - - - - - - - J Mr.Chairman AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAR and for the assessment of pro- perty in Lighting District No. 17,'for the purpose of providing for the installation of incandescent lamps. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lighting District No. 17, for the purpose of providing for the installation of incan- descent lamps, to-wit: Lots 1 to 58 incl., Upper Yale Add. of Blk. 28; Lots 30 to 58 incl. of Blk. 1 and Lots 1 to 29 incl. of Blk. 2, Yalecrest Park, a sub. of Blk. 28; and Lots 1 to 30 incl., Upper Yale 2nd Add. of Blk. 28; 5-Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey; abutting on Herbert, Yale and Yalecrest Avenues from 17th to 18th East Streets, in Salt Lake City. This tax is levied to defray the expense of providing for the installation of incandescent lamps (said lamps to be twenty-eight (28) in number, each standard to carry one 200 watt incandescent lamp), said lamps to be illuminated by electric Current; the circuits for the operation of said system of lamps to be underground, and the por- tions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and herein- after described to be especial y affected and benefited thereby to the -2- full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with th linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth of the same owne - ship back therefrom not exceeding 330 feet, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Three Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-nine and 00/100 ($3,749.00) Dollars or 940087/1000000 (4.940087) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property, there being 4386.72 feet abutting said portion of said improvement and the cost of which installation and the pro- perty benefited thereby is hereinafter set out, and all within the boundaries of the Tots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said improvement according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with Clarence W. Silver Company, dated the 6th day of August, 1930, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordant with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: FRONT IN _0N_Ag ._A1EMUL Lots 1 to 58 incl., Upper Yale Add. of Blk. 28, 5-Acre Flat C, Big Field Survey. Lots 1 to 30 incl., Upper Yale 2nd Add. of Blk. 28, 5- Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey; as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to the entire depth of the same ownership back from said streets and to collect said tax. SECTION II. ghat the assessment list made by the City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of, r` -3- his ordinance in Lighting District No. 17 of Salt Lake City for th. i.urpose of providing for the installation of incandescent lamps, is I ereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said ompleted lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and ! eview to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City are hereby , atified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III.
