AN ORDINANCE Ai1ENDIdC SECTION 860 of an ordinance passed
by the board of Commissioners on April 11, 1938, designated as bill
No. 35 of 1938, relating to parks and public property.
Le it ordsi.ne i by the i oard of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTIOil 1. That Section 860 of an ordinance passed by the
board of Commissioners on April 14, 1938, designated as bill No. 35
of 1938, relating to parks and. public property, be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
EC. 860. AVIARY C-O IS ION. C R:.AT'Ic.N Of. there is
hereby created in the Department of Parks and Public Property
a subordinate division to be known as Aviary Commission.
The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City may
upon recommendation of the dayor apPoint an Aviary Commission
to consist of five mepibers, one of whom shall be ex o'fici.o,
the commissioner of parks and public property, and the other
four shall be representative citisens interested in the promo-
tion of ornithology, cmi who shall be aonointed for a term of
five years subject, however, to removal by the Dots:i of Com-
missioners of Salt Lake City at any time without cause, and
shall serve without pay. The Chairman of said Aviary Commis-
sion shall be selected by the members thereof and serve such
term as they shall designate. The said d,viary Coasat,esion
shall, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Parks •
and. Public Property, have the *ergo gc and management of the
aviary of Salt Lake City, incin .ing the location of the same,
the sale, purchase and acceptance of gifts of nll types and
