AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 1 of Title 19 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as amended, relating to intoxicating liquor,
by adding thereto a new section to be known as Section 19-1-15, relating to
registration of employees.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 1 of Title 19 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as amended, relating to intoxicating liquor, be,
and the same hereby is, amended, by adding thereto a new section to be known
as Section 19-1-15, relating to registration of employees, to read as follows:
"Sec. 19-1-15. Registration of employees. It shall be unlawful
for any licensee of any licensed premises to employ any person, and
it shall be unlawful for any person to accept employment in any li-
censed premises, without first complying with the requirements of
this section, if such person is required to be registered hereunder.
Each such person shall, before entering upon the duties of employ-
ment, register with the chief of police and provide two photographs
and be fingerprinted and shall pay at the time of registration a
two ($2.00) dollar registration fee. Evidence of registration, con-
taining a picture, description and name of place of employment, shall
be furnished to such person which shall be displayed at the place of
employment. Registration shall be required of employees in licensed
premises as follows:
(1) CLASS "A" LICENSES - No registration required.
(2) CLASS "B" or "CLUB" - All employees who are connected in
LICENSES any way with the sale, serving or
delivery of beer must be registered.
(3) CLASS "C", "D", "E" All employees must be registered,
and SEASONAL LICENSES - except those who perform janitorial
work only.
Registration shall be valid until revoked, but shall be applicable
only to the place of employment for which the registration was made."
