CAN OREINANOE LBVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property in Waving District No. 31 (Curb & Gutter Extension No.
47) for the purpose of providing for the curbing and guttering.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the sane upon the property hereinafter described in Paving .Dis-
trict No. 31 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 47) for the purpose of
providing for the grading, constructing concrete curb and gutter
and private driveways, to-wit;
In Lots 2 to 22 incl. of Blk. 1, Lots 46 and
1 to 41 incl of 11k. 2, Lots 1 to 42 incl. and 51 to 92
inol. of Elk. 3, Park View sub. of Elk. 17-A, Five Acre
Plat A; Lots 6, 17 and 20 of Elk. 17-t, Five Acre Plat
it; Big Field purvey, abutting on both sides of Harvard
Avenue from llth to 13th Bast Streets, Princeton Ave.
from llth Bast Street to .Douglas street, and Douglas
Street from Harvard Ave. to Laird Ave.
This tax is levied to iefray the expense of grading,
curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing private drive-
ways, said grading to be twenty-seven (27) feet between curbs on
Jouglas street from Harvaidd Avenue to Laird avenue and thirty (30)
feet between curbs on Harvard Avenue from llth Bast to 13th Bast
Streets,and on Princeton Avenue from llth East Street to _Douglas

3treet, with twenty-four (24) inch gutter on both sides of said
streets, the portion of said streets opposite the property herein-
before and hereinafter described to 'be especially affected and
benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, deter-
mined and established that said property will be especially bene-
fited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and
said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform
rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portioris
of said streets, fronting upon and to the entire depth back there

from, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said par-
cels of land is fifteen Thousand Nine Hundred Three and 29/100

SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City

of this ordinance in Paving District No. 31 (Curb N Gutter Exten-
sion No. 47) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for
the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing
private driveways upon said portions of said streets, is hereby
confirmed, and the a;,ssessments made and returned in said Complete
lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified
approved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest

ion the whole sure unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,

[payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any
installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
land payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per
(cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SMTICN 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day.
after its publication.
