AN ORDINANCE
Result .
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 31-11-17 and 31-11-20 of the Revised
ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to operating engineers'
and firemen's licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 31-11-17 and 31-11-20 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to operating engineers' and firemen's
licenses, be, and the same hereby are, amended as follows:
"Sec. 31-11-17. Fees for examination and license. The fee
for engineer's or firemen's examination shall be as follows:
Chief engineer's examination $10.00
First class.engineer's examination 5.00
Second class engineer's examination 5.00
Fireman's examination, high pressure 3.00
Firemen's examination, low pressure 3.00
Renewal of any license on or before
its expiration date 2.00
Renewal of any license after its
expiration date, but within forty-five
days therefrom 10.00
All fees shall be paid to the city treasurer, who shall issue
a receipt to each person upon payment of the required fee.
"Sec. 31-11-20. Renewal of license. Any person who holds a
License issued under the provisions of this title may have the
same renewed annually without examination provided that he pays
the annual renewal fee as stated in section 31-11-17 above and
presents a receipt for the same from the City Treasurer within
forty-five days, after the expiration date of his license."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary
to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt. Lake City that
this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 8th
day of May, 1969. ,
