Rill No. 82, passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, on.
September 6, 1905, and approved September 7, 1905, and granting to
George A. Snow and William Darst and to their heirs, executors, adminis-
trators and assigns the right to manufacture gas and to construct,
operate and maintain gas mains, pipes and necessary attachments for
supplying manufactured gas in the City of Salt Lake, County of Salt
Lake, State of Utah, and defining the rights, privileges and powers grant-
ed unto said grantees.
Section 1. Re it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah, that Section 12 of an ordinance granting to George A. Snow and
William Darst and to their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns
the right to manufacture gas and to construct, operate and maintain
gas mains, pipes and necessary attachments for supplying manufactured
gas in the City of Salt Lake, County of Salt Lake and State of Utah,
and defining the rights, privileges and powers granted unto said grantees,
passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, September 6, 1905,
and approved by Prank J. Hewlett, Mayor Pro Tem, September 7, 1905,
and designated as Rill No. 82, he and the same is hereby amended so as
to read as follows:
" Section 12. This franchise shall not he transgerrable or assign-
able, except to a corporation organized under the laws of the State of
Utah, provided however, that the foregoing provision of this section
shall not apply to or affect a transfer or assignment of this franchise
by way of pledge, mortgage or trust deed.
Section 1X.D.._,This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
approval,
