An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 732 of the Revised;
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance
pasted ky the City Council November 23, 1908, and approved by the
44layor November 24, 1908.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 732 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City
Counoil November 23, 1908, and approved by the Mayor November ,
i1908, be, and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read.
as follows:
SECTION 732. The Wyor by and with the advice and consent
of the City Council, may appoint the following assistants and
employees of the Waterworks Department:
One competent person as book-keeper and accountant, at a
salary of fifteen hundred dollars per annum. He shall give bond.
to the City in the sum of $5,000.00, conditioned for the honest,
faithful and accurate performance of his duties, and the correct.
accounting for and paying over of all moneys and matters commit
ted to his care.
One clerk at a salary of twelve hundred dollars per annum.
One assistant clerk and time-keeper at a salary of ten
hundred and twenty dollars per annum.
One inspector of water rates at a salary of ten hundred and
eighty dollars per annum.
Three tankmen at High Line at a salary of seven hundred and
eighty dollars per annum, each.
Three tralkmen at Brick Tank at a salary of seven hundred and
eighty dollars per annum, each.
One tcnkmsn at Parley's Reservoir at a. salary of seven
hundred and eighty dollars per annum.
Three tankmen at Thirteenth Last Reservoir at a salary of
seven hundred and eighty dollars por annum, each.

Three tankmen at Twentieth Ward Tank at a salary of seven
hundred and eighty dollars per annum, each.
One stenographer at a salary of eight hundred and forty
dollars per annum.
Such salaries shall be paid monthly as are the salaries of
other city employees.
The Superintendent of Waterworks shall have power to employl
valsemen and such other employees as the necessities of his
office may demand, in such numbers and at such compensation as
the City Council may authorize.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances
and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
