AN OR N NCE Result _ _ . __J AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-2-4 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 37 of 1959, relating to the icensing of places of business for the purpose of allowing the con- sumption of liquor by persons other than the licensee or operator or employee of eitherupon the licensed premises. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 19-2-4 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 37 of 1959, relating to the licensing of places of business for the purpose of allowing the consump- tion of liquor by persons other than the licensee or operator or employee of either upon the licensed premises, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Section 19-2-4. Each application for an annual license provided for by this chapter, for which the fee shall be $50.00, shall be accompanied by cash, check or money order in the amount of $50.O4 which annual fee shall be deposited in the City Treasury if the license is granted, and returned to the applicant if denied. Application for this annual license shall be upon a form furnished by the City, signed under oath by the applicant, and addressed to the City Commission. The form shall require information showing applicant's age, citizenship, moral character and reputation, and conviction of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, if any. If applicant be a partnership or association or a corporation, the same information shall be obtained with respect to each partner, or association member or corporate director or corporate officer. Each licensee must be over the age of twenty-one years, of good moral character and a citizen of the United States. No license shall be granted to any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude. If applicant C;:% be a partnership, association or corporation, each partner, association member; or corporate director or corporate officer I( - 2 - shall meet all of the foregoing qualifications," SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
