AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 46-9-177, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding thereto a new subsection
46-9-177.2, relating to registration plates.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 46-9-177p -Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding thereto a new subsection 46-9-177..2,
relaint to registration plates, be, and the same hereby is, amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 46-9-177.2. Removal of registration plates upon
sale. No person selling a motor vehicle shall deliver
possession thereof to a buyer until said seller shall
first remove the registration plates from the vehicle.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 15th day of May , 1975.
