As. ordinance levying, a tax and for the assessment of property in
the territory included between the center of First South and Fourth
South Streets, and between Second West and the center of Fifth West
Streets; also on the north side of Fourth South Street between Fifth
West and Eighth West Streets, in Sewer District Mo. 2, for the con-
struction of sewers•
Be it ordained by the City Council of S.elt Lt.ke City, Utah:
SECTIONN 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Sewer District No. 2, for the construction of sewers,
to -wit:
In Lots 5 and 6, Block 63; ' , 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 65; 1 and 8,
Block 64, all in flat "A", abutting on the south side of Second South
Street between Fourth '.Pest and Fifth West Streets; on the north side
of Seoond South Street between Third West and Fourth West Streets; end
on both sides of Fourth West Street between First South and Second
South Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of oonntructing vitri-
fied pipe sewers eight (8), ten (10), twelve (12) and fifteen (15)
inches in diameter upon the portions of said streets opposite the
property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially af-
fected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby edjudged,
determined and established that said. property will be esececia.11y ben-
efited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said
parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in
accordance with the linear foot fronta&e upon said portions of said
streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (315) feet back
therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land is four thousand six hundred ei ;hteen and 52/100
( i4,618.52) dollars, or two and 113164/1,0.)O,0 0 ( 2.143164) dollars
per front or linear foot of abutting, property for sewer on side of

street, there beinO 2155 feet of abutting property within the bound-
aries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said dist-
rict, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewer
accordine to the contract entered into for the performance of said
work and making said. improvement, with James Kennedy Construction
Company, dated the 12th day of October, 1908, end the Treasurer is
hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro-
visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned:
Sewer on Side of Street.
The north side of Lots 5 gad 6, Block 63; the west 35 feet of th
south side of Lot 1, the south side of Lot 2, the north 140 feet of

the west side of Lot 2, the west side ofiots 3 end 4, the south 25
25 feet of the west Side of Lot 5, Block 65; the east side of Lot 1,
the south 305 feet of the east side of Lot 8, Block 64, Plat "A",
Salt Ln:ke City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats
of said pity to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said
streets, and to collect said tax.
SECTIOid 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal
installments, as follows, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after
the approval of the ordinance confir.min,;; the levy of the tax for the
payment for such improvement; one-fifth thereof in two years after
such approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after such approval;
one-fifth thereof in four years after sush approval; and one-fifth
thereof in five years after such ap novel. One or more o? eeid in-
stallments, or the whole tax may be paid on or before ten deys after
the approval of the ordinance confirming; the levy of the tax. One
or more installments, or the whole special tax may be peid on the day
any instalment becomes due, by. peyin the amount thereof and interest
to date of L)a.yment. Each of said inst; llrients shell beer interest at
