AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1123, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners on April 19, 1935, relating to second hand
and junk dealers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1123, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners on April 19, 1935, relating to second hand
and junk dealers, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
SEC. 1123. DEALING VVITH MINORS PROHIBITED. It shall be
unlawful for any second hand or junk dealer by himself, his
agents or servants, to purchase or receive any personal proper-
ty, book, current public school text book, or any article
whatsoever, from any minor without the written consent of a
47 parent or the guardian of said minor.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication. yam.(
