Green --- Neslen // // Mr. Chairman -- Result AN ORDINANCE An ordinance amending Section 666 of Chapter 16, Revised Ordinances of Solt Lake City, 1913, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners January 29, 1920, relating to deputies in the office of the City Recorder. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That Section 666 of Chapter 16, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1913, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners January 29, 1920, relating to deputies in the office of the City Recorder, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 666. The Board of Commissioners may appoint in the office of the City Recorder of Sal t Lake City, the following deputies, at salaries not to exceed the amounts named: One chief deputy city recorder at a salary of 2100 per annum. In the absence of or during the disability of the city recorder, the chief deputy city recorder ,shall exercise all the functions and powers of the city recorder. He shall give a bond to the city in the sum of t;1000. One chief clerk at 41800 per annum. — One deputy city recorder who shall act as de city clerk of the city o ozrt, at 41800 per annum. • 8 I 1 1 � One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy olerl of the city court at l560 per annum. li One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy {!{ clerk of the city court, at $1560 per annum. One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy clerk of the city court, at ;'�"1500 per annum. Five deputy city recorders who shall act as deputy not to exceed clerks :of the city court.� 1500 per annum. • The Board of Commissioners may employ such clerke, stenegxe,p1ie.rs and other employes as may be necessary for the proper conduct of said office, at such salaries as may i I be designated by said board. SECTION II. In the opinion of the Board of Commissio4- ers it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the in- habitants of said city that this ordinance become effective I I immediately.
