AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410), for the
purpose of constructing a sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah;
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in -Sewer District
No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a
sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 12 and 13 of Block 1 and Lots 22 and 1 to 11 of
Block 10 of Naverly subdivision being a part of the N.E. uarter
of Section 34 and the N.C. quarter of Sec. 35, T. 1 N., R.1 W.,
Salt Lake Base & Eeridien; lots 11 to 18 inclusive of Block 2,
lots 15 to 29 inclusive of Block 4, lots 30 to 58 inclusive of
Blocks 5 and 8, and lots 1 to 18 inclusive of :Block 9 of Oakley
-Subdivision being a part of the l.'C.quarter of Section 35, T. 1
N., R. 1 ';J., Salt Lake Base Meridian, also beginning 33 feet
south of the S.E.corner of lot 15, Blk. 4, of Oakley Sub., thence
south 450.45 feet, also beginning 545.45 feet south of the S.L.
corner of Lot 15, Blk. 4, Oakley Sub., thence South 123.75 feet,
being a part of the N.J. quarter of Sec. 35, T.1 N., R.1 N., S.
L. B. & T.I., abutting on both sides of 5th North from 12th 'Jest to
Colorado St. and both sides of 12th 'Jest from 5th North to Jordan
River.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
a vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches to eighteen (18) inches

in diameter, including man-holes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions,
all complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the pro-
perty hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially af-
fected and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged,
1determined and established that said property will be especially
benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and
said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in
accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of
said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcel
lof land back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be as-
sessed upon said parcels of land is Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred
i Fifty-one and 11/100 (47,951.11) Dollars, or Two and 11/100
1I (42.11) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property
for half rate, there being 3,768.30 feet abutting said improve •

iment, which is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot
of said sewer according to the contract entered into for the per-
formance of said work and making said improvement with John
O'Connor, Contractor, dated the 18th day of October, 1922, and
the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in ac-
cordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purposes
herein mentioned:
HALF RATE.
The South side of Lot 12, Blk. 1, the North side of the

incl., Blk. 10, Waverly Sub., part of the N. W. .4 of Sec. 35, T.
1 N., R. 1 W., S. L. B. & M.; the South side of Lot 13, Blk. 1,
the North side of the E. 77.5 feet of Lot 22, Blk. 10, Waverly
Sub., part of the 11.E4 of Sec. 34 and the N.W.4 of Sec. 35, T.
1 N., 2. 1 W., Si L. B. & LI.; the lest side of Lots 11 to 18 incl„
Blk. 2, the East side of Lots 15 to 29 incl., Blk. 4, the West
side of Lots 30 to 58 incl., Elk. 5, the West side of Lots 30 to
58 incl., Blk. 8, the East side of Lots 1 to 18 incl., Elk. 9,0aldl y Sub
beginning 33 feet S. of the S.E. corner of Lot 15, Blk. 4, Oakley

sub., thence south 450.45 feet, and beginning 545.45 feet South
of the S. E. corner of Lot 15, Bik. 4, Oakley sub., thence South
123.75 feet, being a part of the N. I. 4 of Sec. 35, T. 1 N., R.
1 I., S. L. B. 4 I.I., as the same are shown upon the official plat
of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of land and to
collect said tax.
SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of
this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410)
of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon
said portions of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the asse s-

monts made and returned in said completed lists, and the report
of the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissio -
ers of salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirms .
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
yearly installments with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the I

rate of 6 per cent per annum payable at the time each installment
is due, to-wit: one-tenth thereof one year after the effective
date of this ordinance of levy, one-tenth thereof two years after.

three years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth
thereof four years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-
tenth thereof five years after this ordinance becomes effective,
one-tenth thereof six years after this ordinance becomes effectiv ,

and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall
draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until paid.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
