AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A WAX and for the assessment of
property in Paving District 1,0. 32 (Ourb & Gutter Extension So.
50) for the purpose of providing for the curbing and guttering.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of :Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTIOII I. That the -Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment
of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving
District No. 32 (uurb & Gutter Extension No. 50) for the purpose
of providing for the grading, constructing concrete curb and
gutter and private driveways, to-wit:
In Lots 1 and 15 to 23 incl. of Gilmer Place
Sub. and Lots 19, 28, 29 and 40 of :Yoodbury Sub. of Blk. 17,
5 Bcr e, Plat "A"; also Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15 of 'BiB. 17,
5 Acre Plat "A", Big :Held Survey, abutting on both sides
of McClelland Street from 9th South Street to Eerbert Avenue.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of wading,
curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing private
drivewaysy said grading to be thirty (30) feet between curbs with
twenty-four (24) inch gutter on both sides of LIcClelland Street
from 9th South Street to Herbert ':venue, the portion of said
street opposite the property hereinbe£ore and hereinafter described
to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and
it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said proper-
ty will be especially benefiteighereby to the full amount of the

tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed ai
en equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot front-
: age upon said portions of said street, fronting upon and to the
entire depth back therefrom, and the tax ;:ereby levied and to be
assessed upon said parcels of land is Five Thousand Seven Hundred
Sixty-four and 44/100 (W5,764.44) Dollars; Four Thousand Seven
Hundred fifty-eight and 44/100 ( 4,758.44) Dollars or Two and
29/100 42.29) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting pro-
perty for thirty (30) foot roadway, there being 2077.92 feet of
abutting property; Seven Hundred Twenty and 00/100 (020.00} Dol-
Mars for private driveways, there being twelve (12) private drive-,
ways at Sixty (;;;60.00) Dollars for each private driveway; Two
Hundred Seventy and 00/100 ( p270.00) Dollars for private drive-
ways, there:being.nine (9) private driveways at Thirty ( 30.00)
Dollars for each private driveway; .sixteen and 00/100 (;16.00)
Dollars for private driveways, there being two (2) private drive-
ways j at kight (0.00) Dollars for each private driveway; within
the boundaries of the lots, blooke and streets ,above mentioned
in said district; which is the total abutters' cost and cost per
front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered
( into for the performance of said work and making said improvement
with J. L. Griffith Co., dated the 27th day of June, 1924, and
the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess,
in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the pur-
pose herein mentioned.

SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
3qualization and Review of the property described in Section I of
this ordinance in Paving District No. 32 (uurb 8: Gutter Extension
jNo. 50) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for the
j grating curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing pri
vate driveways upon said portion of said street, is hereby con-

% firmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed
Ijlists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and i;eview to
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City are hereby ratified,
11Iapproved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. said tax shall be payable in five equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interes
Ion the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,
Ilpayable at the. time,each installment is due. In the event any
installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the

( same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
it
jand payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per

cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication. d_
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
