Mr.Chair,an - - - / 41 AN ORDINANCE Pr.ult . _ - - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 432 of the Revised Ordi- nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, and Section 438 of the Re- vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on February 24, 1942, relating to the City recorder. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 432 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the City Recorder, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 432. SALARY. The city recorder shall receive a salary not to exceed $3000.00 per annum, payable monthly, as are the salaries of other city officers. SECTION 2. That Section 438 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on February 24, 1942, relating to the city recorder, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. (38. APPOINTMENTS, DEPUTIES, ASSISTANTS, CLERKS. The Board of Commissioners may appoint in the office of the city recorder of Salt Lake City the following deputies at salaries not to exceed the amounts named: One chief deputy city recorder at a salary not to exceed $2580.00 per annum. In the absence of or during the disability of the City Recorder, the chief deputy city recorder shall exercise all the functions and powers of the city recorder. He shall give a bond to the city in the sum of $1,000.00. One chief clerk at a salary not to exceed $1920.00 per annum. One deputy city recorder, who shall act as deputy clerk of the -2- city court, at a salary not to exceed A2160.00 per annum. One deputy city recorder, who shall act as deputy clerk of the city court, at a salary not to exceed A1860.00 per annum. Six deputy city recorders, who shall act as deputy clerks of the city court, at a salary not to exceed $1800.00 per annum. One deputy city recorder, who shall aat as deputy clerk of the city court, at a salary not to exceed 11620.00 per annum.
