49 of 1905 - Ordinance 49 of 1905 – Sidewalk Extension No. 86.
• AN OaDINANCZ . An ardisanoe levying a tax and for the assessment of property on the east side of State Street frost Elllsids Avenue to Second North Street, in Sidewalk District No. 19, on the south side of Second North Street from State Street east ninety-nine (99) feet, and on the east side of Bast Capitol Street from Second North Street to the north line of Lot 10, Sleek 4, Plat "d", in Sidewalk District' No. 28, for the cometruotion of cement sidewalks. Is it ordained by t1>,mm City Conseil of Salt Lake City, Utah: • SUTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter . described in Lots 8 to 14, inclusive, Block 2, Plat 'Y", Lots 1 to f 9, inclusive, Block 1, and Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, Block 4, Plat "3", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on the oast side of State Street from: Hillside Avenue to Seeend North Street, on the south side of Seeend North Street from State Street east ninety-nine (99) feet, and on the east side of last Capitol Street from Second North Street to the north line of Lot 10, in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 19 • and 28, said property having a frontage of 1455.21 feet along said streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing cement sidewalks six (6) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon said per- ' tion s of said streets opposite the property hereinafter described to be especially affeoted and benefited by said improvement, and it is • hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby • levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in a eeordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet, bank therefrom and the tax hereby levied and tobe assessed upon said parcels of land is two thousand four hundred fifty-nine • and thirty one-hundredths ($2,459.30) dollars, or one and sixty-nine (51.69) dollars per front or linear foot, which is the estimated 49 • • -2- ,L.'1 ' • , total scat and estimated coat per linear foot of said sidewalks, and, the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in aceor • - dance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, all of Lots 8 to 14, inolusive, of Block 2, Plat "K"; the west 99 feet of Lot 8, Block 2, Plat "S"; all of Lots 1 to 9, in- elusive, Bl©ck 1, and all of Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, Block 4, Plat "3", Salt Lake" City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of maid City to e. depth of twenty-five (26, ,feet back from s said streets, and-to collect maid tax. 976GT4¢_2 Skid tea shall become and be delinquent as follows: ' One-3k rd thereof shall beoomeelinquent in one month after ey3 the approval. o ttY�is l ene-� in i t .after said appro- I val, e, one-laird inAt see.-mac 'eM after said approval. lh and ', every installment of said tax except the first, shalldraw interest L..--"' h at the rate of seven per cent per annum from date of levy, and all said installments shall bear interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum from date of delinquency.
