Result I IW AN ORDINANCE An ordinance levying a tax end for the assessment of property in the district bounded on the north by Fifth North Street, on the east by Second West Street, on the south by Third North Street, and on the rest by Eighth West Street, in Sewer Distriot No. 2, for the construction of sewers. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2, for the construction of sewers, to-wit: In Lots 1, 5, 6, 7 snd 8, Block 118; 1, b, 6, 7 and 8, Block 119; 1, 2 and 3, Block 134, all in Plat "A"; 1 to 26, inclusive, Block 2; 1 to 26, inclusive, Block 3, Lynch & Glassman's Subdivision of Block 82, Plat "C", all in Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on the south side of Fourth North Street between Third West and Fifth West Streets; on the west side of Fourth West Street between Third North and Fourth North Streets; on the west side of Third West Street between Third North and Fourth North Streets; on the north side of Fourth North Street between Third West and Fourth West Streets; and on both sides of Ouray Avenue between Seventh West and Eighth West Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing sewers of vitrified pipe eight (8) , ten (10) and twelve (12) inches in diameter, and of concrete pipe twelve (12) , fifteen salt (1b) and eighteen (18) inches in diameter upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter des- cribed to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, end it is hereby adjudged, determined end established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed et an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the lines. foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon end to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is seventy-seven hundred ninety-three and 70/100 (t7793.70) dollars; sixty-two hundred seventy-five and 70/100 (06275.70) dollars, or two end 28/100 (02.28) dollars per front or linear foot of abuttin; property for sewer on side of streets, there being 2752.50 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; and fifteen hundred eighteen (01518.00) dollars, or one and 15/100 (01.15) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer in center of streets, there being 1320 feet abutting said portion of said improvement, all within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewers, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with W. M. Gibson, Contractor, dated the 14th day of December, 1914, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and direote. to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, fo the purpose herein mentioned: Sewer on Side of Streets. The north side of Lots 5, 6 and 8, the north side of the west 138.5 feet of the east 148.5 feet of Lot 7, the east side of the north 270 feet of Lot 1, the east side of the south 52.5 feet of the north 112.5 feet, and the east side of the south 206.5 feet of Lot 8, Block 118; the north side of Lots 5 end 6, the east side- of -2- the south 105 feet of Lot 6, the east side of the north 104 feet, and the east side of the south 49 feet of Lot 7, the east side of the south 132 feet of Lot 8, the east side of the north 105 feet of Lot 1, Block 119;the south side of Lots 2 end 3, the south side of the west 105 feet of Lot 1, Block 134, all in Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey. Sewer in Center of Streets. The north side of Lots 1 to 26, inclusive, Block 2; the south side of Lots 1 to 26, inclusive, Block 3, Lynch & Glassman's Sub- division of Block 82, Plat "C", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three 1 years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of said installments, in the order in which they are pay- able, or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any install- ment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the sam beoomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent pe31 annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or. I 11 -3., i . more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole speoial tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said date.
