Result AN ORDINANCE
.IIn ordinance relating to sparring exhibitions or boxing
contests.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to hold,
conduct, manage, engage in, or to be present as a speotator at any
sparring exhibition or boxing contest in Salt Lake City, exceeding
six (6) rounds, or any sparring exhibition or boxing contest, any
round of which shall exceed three (3) minutes in length, or any
sparring exhibition or boxing contest where the internal between
any two sucoessive rounds shall be less than one minute, or any
sparring exhibition or boxing oontest which is carried on with
boxing gloves weighing less than six (6) ounces each, the backs of
which are padded with soft material.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to
permit any room, building, place or premises owned by him, or in
his charge or oontrol,or to let any room, building, place or
premises owned by him or in his charge or control, to be used in
Whole or in part for holding or conducting any sparring exhibition.

where the interval between any two successive rounds shall be less

is earried on with boxing gloves weighing less than six (6) ounces .

SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful for any person acting as
referee, second, attendant, or in any other capacity, in, at or
about any sparring exhibition or boxing contest, to give or render
any decision upon the result of, or to decide or declare the result
of any boxing 9ontest or sparring exhibition.

'PION 4. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions
of title ordineee shall upon conviction thereof, be punished by a
fine of not issidts expecting fifty ($50.00) dollars, or less than
• twenty ive ( 25.00) dollars, or by imprisonment in the city jail
net extoeding thirty (30) days , ar less than fifteen (15) days, or
by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
