Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of proper-
ty in Paving Districts Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No.
24) for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and gutter-
ing with concrete, constructing drainage system to carry water along
and across streets and intersections, constructing private driveways
and storm sewers.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah.
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Districts Nos.
24 and 30 (Curb &Gutter Extension No. 24) for the purpose of provid-
ing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, construct-
ing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and inter-
sections, constructing private driveways and storm sewers, to-wit:
Lots 1, 3 and 4 of Blk. 51; Lots 1, 2 and 4 of
Block 79; Lots 2 and 3 of Blocks 54, 59 and 82 and Lots 1 to
4 incl. of Blocks 52, 53, 60, 61, 62, 80 and 81; all in Plat
D, Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of 4th Avenue
and 5th Avenue, from H to K Streets; both sides of I, J and K Streets,
from 3d to 6th Avenues.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curb-
ing and guttering with concrete, constructing drainage system to
carry water along and across streets and intersections, constructing
private driveways and storm sewers (said grading to be thirty-six (36)

affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby ad-
judged, determined and established that said property will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal
and uniform rate in aocordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said street, fronting upon and to the entire de•-h
back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed
upon said parcels of land is Thirty-one Thousand Six Hundred
Sixty-one and 13/100 ($31,661.13) dollars; Twenty-seven Thousand
Four Hundred Seventy-six and 13/100 ($27,476.13) dollars or
Two and 78/100 ($2.78) dollars per front or linear foot of
abutting property for thirty-six foot roadway, there being 9883.50
feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots,
.looks and street above mentioned in said districts; One Thousand
One Hundred Forty-seven ($1,147.00) dollars for private drive-
ays, there being,thirty-one (31) private driveways at Thirty-
,teven ($37.00) dollars for each private driveway; Two Thousand
i'our Hundred Forty-eight ($2,448.00) dollars for private drive-
aye, there being fifty-one (51) private driveways at Forty-
-ight (48.00) dollars for each private driveway; Five Hundred
ninety ($590.00) dollars for private driveways, there being

improvement with Moran Paving Company, dated the 20th day of

SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the city
treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I
of this ordinance in Paving Districts Noe. 24 and 30 (Curb &
Gutter Extension No. 24) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of
providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete,
constructing drainage system to carry water along and across
streets and intersections, constructing private driveways and
storm sewers upon said portion of said streets, is hereby con-
firmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed
lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review
to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby
ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in five equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with in-
terest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per
annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the
o 0. event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on
8 the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special
tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall
4.d become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of

SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
