AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A FAX and for the assessment of
property in Sewer District No. 1, (Sewer Extension No. 441) for
the purpose of constructing a sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District
No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 441) for the purpose of constructing
a sewer, to-wit:
Dots 6 & 9 of Blk. 12, F. M. Lyman Jr.'s Survey of
Sec. 16, T. 1 S., R. 1 E., S. L. 3. & .; Lot 11 of 31k. 9,
5-Acre Plat '0"; Lots 3 to 26 inal. and 35 to 58 incl. of
Blks. 1, 2 and 3 and Lots 3 to 26 incl. of Blk. 4, College
View Sub.; Lots 1 to 27 incl. of Blk. 1, Lots 1 to 55 incl.
of Biks. 2 and 3, Lots 1 to 24 incl. of Blk. 4, Lots 1 to
23 incl. of 31k. 5, Lots 1 to 28 incl. and 36 to 54 incl.

15th East to a point 425 ft. east of 16th East Street, Bryan
and Logan Avenues and 17th South Street from 15th to 16th
Last Streets, and 16th East Street from Harrison Ave. to 17th
South Street.
1 This tax is levied to defray the ex ense of constructing
and twelve (12) inches
Ia vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inchesAin diameter, including
manholes, flush tanks and ys for house connections, all complete,
upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbe-
fore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and bene-
fited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined
land established that said property will be especially benefited
thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said par-
cels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in accordance
with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets
fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcels of land back
therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land is Nineteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-five and

per front or linear foot of abutting property for half rate, there
being 16,040.59 feet abutting said improvement, which is the total
abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said sewer according to
the contract entered into for the performance of said work and
making said improvement with J. L. Griffith Co., contractor, dated
the 8th day of June, 1925, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this
ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned:

as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to
the entire depth of said parcels of land and to collect said
tax.
SECTION 2. ='hat the assessment list made by the City
1l'reasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
+qualization and iteview of the property described in Section I of
his ordinance in Sewer District No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 441)
f Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon
aid portions of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the assess-
ents made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of
the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners
•f Salt Lake City are herebyiratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal yearly
installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest on the
Thole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at
he time each installment is due. In the event any installment or
he interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due,
he whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said install-
!lent and interest are due shall become due and payable, and shall

draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until the
sale of the property assessed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
