That Section lab, :.evised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, as amended by an ordinance passed by the :Loard of Commissioners on. April 10, 1335, relating to licenses, be and. the same is hereby amended to read as follo:rs: SEC. 725. SECOND f i S S';LCIOUS _l DDALDS. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or carry on the business of a second hand drecious metal dealer without first obtaining a license so to do. The license fee of u second hand- precious metal dealer shall be 5.00 per annurn. �y ib (b) Any person engaged in buyin.; and sellin ; old ;,old, silver, platinum or other precious metals, or second hand arti- cles containing any of the same, is hereby declared o be second hand. precious metal dealer . (c) It shall be un1af;al for any second hand precious metal dealer to fail to keep a substantial and well bound book, in which he shall enter at the rime ofpurchase in Lhc Lns=_ish language: First, a true and accurate descri Lion of every article purchased by him. Second, the name, age, description and residence of the vendor. Third, the amount paid. fourth, the date and hour of purchase. (d) All. entries shall be made :pith ink in as legible manner, and all records of secs ;I-hand precious rectal dealers shall be open o inspection by any police officer at any time, and a copy of all entries made each day shall be re- ported in writing to the chief of police on the next business day. (e) It shall be unlawful for any second-hand precio4 metal dealer to deliver to the Person se-ling or delivering; any of the property received by him as above set out or to sell or other;ise dispose of any of such property for the period of thirty days from the date of receiving the same, unless expressly Permitted to dispose off' such property by the police department prior thereto.
