An Ordinance amending Section 628, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an Ordinance passed
by the Board of Commissioners on February 25, 1936, known as
Bill No. 6, and as further amended by an Ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners on February 13, 1937, known as Bill No. 6,
relating to licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
Section 1. That Section 628 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an Ordinance passed
February 25, 1936, known as Bill No. 6, and as further amended
by an Ordinance passed February 18, 1937, known as Bill No. 6,
relating to licenses, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 628, Billiard and Pool Tables: It shall he
unlawful for any person to operate, keep or maintain within the
limits of Salt Lake City for public use or hire any billiard or
pool table or similar table on which games are played except that
the License Assessor and Collector shall issue annual licenses
as hereinafter provided to keep, maintain, or operate for public
use or hire any of such tables solely within the boundaries of
the following district:
Beginning at the intersection of the north side of North
Temple and the east side of North State street, running thence
south to the north side of South Temple street, thence east to the
east side of Second East street, thence south to the south side

of Fifth South street, thence west to the eret side of State
street, thence south to the north side of Thirteenth South street,
thence west to the west side of Main street, thence north to the
south side of 1,ifth South street, thence west to the crest .side
of Sixth West street, thence north to the north side of North
Temple street, thence east to the place of beginning.
All applications for license contemplated by this
section shell state the number and kind of tables and the address
of the proposed business, and shall be filed with the License
Assessor and Collector. Upon the payment to the City Treasurer
of a sum esual to fifteen dollars (515.00) per annum in advance
for each table specified in such application,wnich sum shell in
no event exceed the sum of ninety dollars ($90.O0) for any one
place of business, annual licenses shall be issued by the said
License Assessor and Collector.

Section 2. In the opinion of the hoard of Commissioner
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that vhis Ordinance become effective immediately.!
This Ordinance shell take effect, upon its first publica.tion.
