AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3717 of the Revised O::.i-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt,
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 3717 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to licenses, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 3717. REVOCATION OF LICENSE. The Board of
Commissioners may in their discretion deny any application
for a license or at any time suspend or revoke any license
which hastheretofore been issued, unless otherwise specifical-
ly provided for by ordinance.
It shall be unlawful for any person whose applica-
tion for license is denied or whose license has been suspend-
ed or revoked to carry on or conduct any business, trade, pro-
fession or calling for which said license has been denied,
suspended or revoked, until such suspension is terminated by
order of the Board of Commissioners or by complying with the 7.
provisions of the next preceding paragraph of this section.
No person who has been denied a license or whose
license has been revoked under the provisions of this chap-
ter, and no person associated or connected with such person
in the conduct of such business shall be granted a license
to carry on the business, trade, profession or calling for
which the said license was denied or revoked until he again
makes application for a new license and pays the license
fee as is required by ordinance.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediate-
ly.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall. take 'ect at once upon
its first publication.
