WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City has determined that down zoning of certain residential and commercial zones in the Capitol Hill Community area of Salt Lake City would be in the best interests of the inhabitants of said Community to preserve and conserve the existing housing stock and to promote the revitaliza- tion of the area as a residential neighborhood and to encourage com- patiable commercial activity therein, said Board hereby adopts the following amendments to the use district provision of Title 51. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the use and "Use District Map" as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fixing the boundaries of use districts, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows:' The following described parcels of real property in Residential R-6 Districts, situated in Blocks 139, 132, 114, 113 and 104 of Plat A; Blocks 13, 14, 16, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 35 of Plat E of Salt Lake City Survey; more commonly described as the area between 500 North and700 North beginning 165 feet west of 200 West Street and extending east to Wall Street; the parcel from Zane Avenue north to Girard Avenue between Wall Street and Victory Road; together with a parcel between Center Street and Quince Street from 500 North Street south to 300 North Street; and a parcel beginning at Quince Street west to approximately 250 West between 300 and 400 North, are hereby zoned "Residential R-2" and the "Use District Map" is hereby amended and changed accordingly: Commencing at the southwest corner of 700 North and 200 West Street; thence south 1375 feet more or less along the west line of 200 West Street to the northwest corner of 500 north and 200 West Streets; thence west along the north line of 500 North Street 165 feet; thence north 1375 feet more or less to the south line of 700 North Street; thence east 165 feet along the south line of 700 North Street to the point of beginning.
