Result J AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Section 666 of Chapter 16 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, as amended, relating
to appointments of deputies, assistants and clerks in the office
of the City Recorder.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 666 of Chapter 16 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, as amended, relating to
appointments of deputies, assistants and clerks in the office of
the City Recorder, be, and the same is hereby amended so as to
read as follows:
SECTION 666. The Board of Commissioners may appoint
in the office of the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, the
following deputies, assistants and clerks, at salaries not
exceed the amounts named:
city
One chief deputy4recorder at a salary of $2,100.00
per annum.
In the absence of or during the disability of the City
city
Recorder, the chief deputy„recorder shall exercise all the
functions and powers of the City Recorder. He shall give a
bond to the City in the sum of $1,000.00.
One chief clerk at 1,800.00 per annum.
One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy clerk

of the City Court, at 41,680.00 per annum.
One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy clerk
of the City Court at 41,50,0.00 per annum.
Two deputy city recorders who shall act as deputy
clerks of the City Court, each, 41,440.00 per annum.
One deputy city recorder who shall act as deputy cler
of the City Court at 41,380.00 per annum
Two deputy city recorders who shall-act as deputy
clerks of the City Court, each .1,200.0t per annum.'
Tate Board of Commissioners may employ subh b10 ks,
stenographers and other employees as maybe necaigary for
the proper conduct of said office, at subh ealari 8 as may
be designated by said Board.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners i
is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of said city that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
. first publication:

Utah, September 8th , 1919.
