Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 454 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to City Treasurer, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SRC. 454. APPOINTMENTS, DEPUTIES, CLERKS, ASSISTANTS. The board of commissioners may appoint and employ one deputy treasurer at a salary not exceeding A3000.00 per annum, and such other assistants, clerks and employees as may be neces- sary for the proper conduct of said office, at such salaries as the board may designate. The deputy treasurer shall, before assuming the duties of his office take and subscribe the constitutional oath of office, and shall furnish a bond to the city in the sum of not less than A10,000.00, conditioned upon the faith- ful performance of his duties and the proper accounting of all funds and moneys coming into his hands under his control. The board of commissioners may require any employee of the treasurer's office to give bond in such amount as it may designate. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3.
