ORDINANCE .
An ordinance regulating the possession, use of and sale of fire
arms and air guns.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any minor to possess or
have in his or her possession in•any street, alley, lane, park,
yard, or place, whether public or private, within the city limits,
any gun, revolver or firearm of any kind, or air gun, rubber flip-
per, or bow and arrow or !'nigger shooter", or other instrument de-
signed to throw missiles.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any parent or guardian, or
person having the ckarge or control of any minor, to allow or per-
mit such minor to have or possess or to use in any place, either
private or public, within the city limits, any fire arm, air gun or
instrument designed to throw missiles.
SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor-
• poration to give or to sell or to furnish to any minor any fire arm,
air gun or other Al instrument designed to throw missiles.
SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of Section 2 or
of Section 3 hereof shall be liable in damages for any injury caused,
to any person by reason of such violation.
SECTION 5. Any person violating any provision hereof shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
