Pe it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,Utah: SECTION 1. That Chapter LIXIII of the revised ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the Building Code , be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit: SEC. 1690. The Uniform Building Code adopted, approved and issued by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference at the 6th annual meeting October 1927 with revisions and additions approved at the 17th annual meet- ing October 1939, and which cone was published May 1, 1940 as a code in book form, 3 copies of which code have been filed -for use and examination by the public in the office of the Recorder of Salt Lake City and which code establishes rules and regulations for the erection, con- struction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, enuipment, use, height, area and maintenance of.buildings, and or structures in the City of Salt Lake City, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, declaring and establishing fire districts, rrovioina penalties for the violation thereof and repealing all ordinances and. all parts of ordinances in conflict there- to is hereby adopted by Salt Lake City as the ordinances, rules and regulations of said City, together with the amendments to said code set out in Section 1691 of this i Chapter. SECTION :J. Chapter L1XIII, relatinL to the Luirding code is hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 1E91. That Section 605 of the Uniform _Euilct- imp Code, 1940 edition, adopted by Section 1690 of the I revised ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, I9V4., is hereby amended_ to read. as follows, to-wit: It shall te 1 unlawful for any person, firm or coroor_.tion to erect, construct, enlarg , alter, repair, move, remove, demolish, convert, enuip, use or occu y or maint, in any bui llinb and structure or any portion of any tuil pin= and structure in the city, contrary to or in violation of- any provision of this Code or to c:_use, permit or suffer the same to be done.
