Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 32-1-34 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah 1955, relating to sale of tobacco to minors, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 32-1-34. Minors. Sale of tobacco to. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, give, or furnish any cigar, cigarette or tobacco in any form, to any person under nineteen years of age." SECTION 2. That Section 32-1-35 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah 1955, relating to minors purchasing, accepting or possess- ing tobacco, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 32-1-35. Minors. Id., purchase, accepting or having in possession. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of nineteen years to purchase, accept or have in his or her possession any cigar, cigarette or tobacco in any form." SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
