AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 25-4-6 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to salary schedules.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 25-4-6 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to salary schedules, be, and the
same hereby is,amended by adding thereto two new subsections (h) and
(i) to read as follows:
"Sec. 25-4-6. Salary schedules adopted. (a) * * *

(h) There is hereby created the positions of Director of
Airports, Deputy Director of Airports - Operations and Deputy
Director of Airports - Maintenance with the following salaries:
Effective March 15, 1976, the salary of the Director of
Airports shall be $35,000 per year.
Effective March 1, 1977, the salary of the Director of Airports
shall be $36,750 per year.
Effective November 16, 1976, the salary of the Deputy Director
of Airports - Operations, shall be $25,900 per year.
Effective November 16, 1976, the salary of the Deputy Director
of Airports - Maintenance, shall be $23,750 per year.
The foregoing positions shall be exempt from the Wage and
Salary Administration Program for Salt Lake City Corporation
Employees, adopted March 1, 1977, Bill No. 33 of 1977.
(i) The position of Chief of Police is hereby deleted from
the Wage and Salary Administration Program for Salt Lake City
Corporation employees adopted March 1, 1977, Bill No. 33 of 1977.
Effective as of the date a new chief is appointed the salary shall
be $36,000 per year."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
