An ordinance amending Chapter 60 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to vehicles, etc. , by
adding to said chapter a new section to be known as Section
1313x1, relating to the registration of changes of address of
persons moving their household furniture from place to place,
eto.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 60 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to vehicles, etc. , he, and
the same is hereby amended by adding to said chapter a new
section to be known as Section 131hx1, relating to the
registration of changes of address of persons moving their
household furniture from place to place, said section to read
as follows:
SECTION 1313xl. (a) It shall be unlawful for the
driver or person in charge of any licensed public venicle,
while engaged in hauling or moving the household furniture
of any person, to fail to keep a record of the transaction
in a book to be kept for that purpose, reciting the date,
the place from and the place to which he moves said house-
hold furniture, and the name of the person for whom the
same was moved. t 91

(b) Every person in charge of a licensed public vehicle,
operated as aforesaid, shall, on i,ond y of each week, file in
the office of the Commissioner of Public Safety a full and
correct statement of all information required by the preced-
ing section herein, covering all the transactions of the
previous week. The blanks shall be furnished free of charge
upon application tothe office of the Commissioner of Public
Safety. Upon receipt,of such,statement it shall be opened to
tide ,inspection of the public; and there shall be kept in the
office of the said Oomnissioner of Public Safety a register
of all such changes: of :address.
(o) It shall tr-e-unlaw{fizl for any person to give false
information or answers to the driver if person in charge of
such vehicle, as to the true ownership of such household
• furniture, and as to the true and correct old and new address
referred to in this ordinance.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it
lis necessary to the peace and safety of the City that this ordi-

nance shall become effective immediately.
1 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
