An ordinance amending Section 9 of an ordinance entitled "An
ordinance for the construction of bicycle path6, and regulating the
useof bicycles" passed July 14th, 1902, vetoed by the Mayor and
again passed by acre than two-thirds of the City Council July 21st,
1902, and amended by an. ordinance approved August 6th, 1902.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 9 of an ordinance entitled "An ordi-
nanoe for the construction of bioycle paths, and regulating the use
of bioyeles" passed by the City Council July 14th, 1902, vetoed by
the Mayer and again passed by more than two-thirds of the City Coun-
cil July 21st, 1902, and amended by an ordinance passed by the City
Csuneil August 4th, 1902 and approved by the Mayor August 6th, 1902,
be, and the sans is hereby mended to read as follows:
SECTION 9. Bach bicycle or other riding machine shall be
separately licensed and such license shall be issued and signed
by the.Mayor and attested by the City Recorded under the seal
of the City, after the payment by the applicant for such license
to the City Treasurer of the sum of one dollar for each license.
Such license shall be effective until the 31st day of March
following its issuance, and shall contain the name of the
owner, the make, the style and number of such bicycle or
riding machine, and may be transferred with the machine for
which laavaid, but met ethersrSee. There shall be issued with
s11eh amiss a tag stewed with the ntasher of the lieense,
which tag mast be attached to the head or steering gear of
such machine; grovided, that such tag shall not be of the same
design or color for two consecutive years; except that the tags

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
