Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Seotion 545 of Chapter 9 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to
deputies and employees of the City Auditor, as amended by an
ordinance passed by the Board. of Commissioners, September 30, 1918.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Seetion 545 of Chapter 9 of the Revised
Ordinanoes of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to deputies and
employees of the City Auditor, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the Board of Conaisaloners September 30, 1918, be, and the
same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 545. APPOINTMENTS, DEPUTIES, ASSISTANTS. The
Board of Commissioners may appoint a eompitent person as
deputy city auditor, at a salary not exceeding $2700.00 per
amnia.
In the absence of or during the disability of the City
Auditor, the Deputy City Auditor shall exercise all the
functions and powers of the City Auditor. Se shall give
bond to the city in the sum of 45,000.00.
The Board of Commissioners may appoint or,employ such
accountants, clerks and other employees as may be necessary
for the proper conduct of such office, at such salaries as
may be designated by the Board of Commissioners, and all of

said salaries shall be paid monthly as ars the salaries of
other employees of the city.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it
is neoeseary to the pesos, health and safety of the inhabitants
Iof said city that this ordinance become effeoti've immediately.
SECTION Z. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first p blioation. •
