Green Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property in Paving District Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 24) for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, constructing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and intersections, constructing private driveways and storm sewers. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah. SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Districts Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 24) for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with oonorete, constructing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and intersections, con- structing private driveways and storm sewers, to-wit: In Lots 2 and 3 of Blocks 87 and 115; Lots 1, 3 and 4 of Bik. 90; Lots 1 to 4 incl. of Blooke 88, 89, 107, 108, 109, 116 and 117; Lots 1 to 12 incl. of Grand View Sub. of Blk.110 and Lots 1 to 13 incl. and 24 to 31 incl. of Nob. Hill Sub. of Bik. 118, all in Plat D, Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of 7th and 8th Avenues from H to K Streets; both sides of I, J and K Streets from 6th to 9th Avenues. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, constructing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and intersections, constructing private drive- J3 �i ti si j ;,fl it Ii ways and storm sewers (said grading to be thirty-six (36) feet between curbs) the portion of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street, fronting upon and to the entire depth baok therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assesse; upon said parcels of land is Twenty-nine Thousand Four Hundred Sixty and 24/100 ($29,460.24) dollars; Twenty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Five and 24/100 ($27,405.24) dollars or Two and 78/100 ($2.78) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for thirty-six (36) foot roadway, there being 9858 feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks 1 and streets above mentioned in said districts; Seven Hundred Twenty-five ($725) dollars for private driveways, there being Twenty-nine (29) private driveways at Twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for eaoh private driveway; Three Hundred Seventy ($370.00) dollars for private driveways, there being ten (10) private drive ways at Thirty-seven ($37.00) dollars for each private driveway; Nine Hundred Sixty ($960) dollars for private driveways, there being twenty (20) private driveways at Forty-eight ($48.00) doll s for eaoh private driveway, which is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with Moran Paving Company, dated the 20th day of January, 1922, and the city treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of thin ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: THIRTY-SIX FOOT ROADWAY The west side of Lots 2 and 3, Blk. 87, the west side - 2 - � l of Lots 2 and 3, the east side of Lots 1 and 4 and the north side of Lots 3 and 4 of Blk. 88; the north side of Lots 3 and 4, the east side of Lots 1 and 4 and the west side of Lots 2 and 3, Blk. 89; the east side of Lots 1 and 4 and the north side of Lot 3 and 4, Bik. 90; the north side of Lots 3 and 4, the south side of Lots 1 and 2, the east side of Lot 4, the east side of the north 35 feet of Lot 1 and the east side of the south 122 feet, log of Lot 1, Blk. 107; the east side of Lots 1 and 4, the west side of Lots 2 and 3, the south side of Lots 1 and 2 and the north side of Lots 3 and 4, Bik. 108; the south side of Lots 1 and 2, the north side of Lots 3 and 4, the west side of Lots 2 and 3, the east side of Lot 4, the east side of the north 21 feet and the east side of the south 132 feet of Lot 1, Bik. 109; the west side of Lots 1 to 12 incl. SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the city treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Paving Districts Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 24) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, constructing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and intersections, constructing private driveways and storm sewers upon said portion of said streets, is hereby con- firmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the^ b Board of Equalization and Review I � to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in five equal yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interes, Ion the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the spedial tax unpaid at (the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve (per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed. SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day (after its publication. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, (Utah, the 12thday of September A.
