ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of ,property
on the east side of East Temple Street between South Temple nod
First North Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 12, for the construc-
tion of a sidewalk. -.:
' Be it ordained "py the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Thdt the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment upon_t .e property hereinafter :described
abutting on the east side..:of 7ga1st Temple Street between South Temple
and First North Streets., in Sidewalk District No. 12.'
This tax is levied.t.:o defray the expense of. constructin; a
• sidewalk upon said portion of s'tkd street opposite the property
hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by
laid improvement, and it :is hereby adjudged, determined and estab-
' lished that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the
full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are
hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the
linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon
and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet hack therefrom, and the tax
hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcelsof land is one
thousand nine hundred arni ninety-five and 84/1OO (n1995.84) dollars, i -
or one and 44/100 (U.44) dollars per front or linear foot, and the
Treasurer is hereby authorized and empowered to assess in accordance
with the provisionsof this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, `;
Lots 4 and 5, and 33 feet north of lot 5, block 88; lots 2, 3, 4 and
5 and 33 feet south of lot 2, block 95, plat "A", Salt Lake City
Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City
Ito a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
