Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING the limits of Salt Lake City.
WHEREAS, on Nov. 4, 1925, J. A. Jenkins and others, the
owners of real property situate in the tract of land hereinafter
described, signed and filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake
City, Petition No. 1011, and on Nov. 28, 1925, Herbert W. Cater
and others in a supplemental petition concurred in and endorsed
said petition No. 1011, requesting that said tract of land be
taken Within the limits of said city and also caused an accurate
map to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor and ap-
proved by the City Engineer to be filed with the City Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the said tract of land is contiguous to Salt
Lake City and there is no proper reason why it should not be an-
nexed to, and made a part of, said city; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
after examining saietition of said owners of said tract of
land, and considering the circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous
vote of all nethbers of said board in favor of annexing said tract
to Salt Lake City and directed the city attorney to prepare an
ordinance making and declaring said annexation:
THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lalie City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the city limits of Salt Lake City be and
the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the
following described tract of land in Salt Lake County, to-wit:

Commencing at a point on the South City Limit line
of Salt Lake City being the intersection of said South City
Limit line and the Center line of 8th East Street produced
and also being the Northwest corner of Lot 14, Block 29,
10 Acre Plat A, Big Yield Survey; thence South 287.1 ft.,
thence East 825 feet to the east line of.9th East Street,
being the west line of Lot 5, Block 28, 10 Acre Plat A,
thence South 1148.4 feet to a point 287.1 feet south of the
Northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 28, 10-Acre Plat A; thence
East 300 feet, thence North 200.97 feet, thence East 459
feat; thence North 1234.53 ft. to the present south city
limits line of Salt Lake City, being the north line of Lot
5, Block 28, 10-Acre Plat A; thence 'West along said City
Limit line 1584 feet to place of beginning.
And be it further ordained and declared that when this
ordinance takes effect the said tract of land above described
shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of said Salt Lak:
City, and be a part of said city; and all ordinances, jurisdictio ,
rules and obligations of or pertaining to said Salt Lake City are
exende.d over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract
of land, and the streets, blocks, alleys and ways of said tract
shall be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and
regulations of said City in that behalf, and the monument of the
City Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standard
of locations and distances.
SECTION 2. Upon the passage of this ordinance, the City
Recorder of Salt Lake City shall file, and he is hereby directed
to file with the County Recorder, a copy of the map and plat abov
mentioned, duly certified and acknowledged as provided in such
cases, together with a certified copy of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
SECTION 4. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,

it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the city that
this ordinance shall become effective imme lately.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
