AN ORDINANCE VACATING a certain street within the Northeast corner of Block 6, Superior Addition, a subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 1 North, Range 1 West of the Salt Lake Base & Meridian, known as 13th North and 8th West Streets. Be:'it`drdained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That that certain street known as 13th North Street, more particularly described as follows: 0 0 Beginning at the Northeast corner of Block 6, Superior o Addition, a subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of ,° the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 1 North, Range 1 West of the Salt Lake Base & Meridian, and running thence o South 43.68 feet, thence South 58° 41' West 457.78 feet to the •D� easterly boundary line of an existing 100 foot wide right- of-way for a Salt Lake City road, thence North 27° West 50 feet, more or less, thence North 58° 41' East 369.16 feet, 0,-1 thence North 47° 36' East 69.29 feet, thence East 50 feet ter-' to the point of beginning. o1 m The above described strip of property is now used as g a roadway for vehicular traffic across several railroad +�¢ tracks, in the vicinity of 8th West and 13th North Streets, and is commonly referred to as the 13th North crossing. U be, and the same is hereby, vacated and declared no longer to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way. Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of v)way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now located in, on, under or over the confines of the above described property; and also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of inspecting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, removing, altering or rerouting said utilities and all of them. - 2 - SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of the Board of Commis- sioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
