AN O R D I N A N C E .
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 568 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordi-
nance passed by the City Council Jaas:a, 1911, and approved by the
Mayor June 2, 1911, relating to the appointments of deputies and
assistants by the City Recorder.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 568 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City
Council June 1, 1911, and approved by the Mayor June 2, 1911, relat-
ing to the appointments of deputies and assistants by the City
Recorder be, and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
SECTION 868. The Recorder shall have power to appoint,
subject to confirmation by the Board of Commissioners, the
foll
owing deputies and assistants:
One Chief D arty Recorder, et.a:laalary of eighteen hundred
($1849A.-OO dollars per annum;
In the absence of, or during the disability of the City
Reoorder, the Chief Deputy Recorder shall exercise all the
functions and powers of the City Recorder. He shall give bond
to the city in the sum of one thousand (01,000.00) dollars.
Three Deputy Reoorders, who shall act as clerks of the
city courts, at a salary of twelve hundred (01200.00) dollars,
each, per annum;
One Deputy Recorder, who shall act as clerk of the city
courts, at a salary of ten hundred and eighty (01080.0e)
dollars per annym;
One Ch
ief Clerk, at a salary of fourteen hundred and forty
(01440.00) dollars per annum;
One Clerk at a salary of twelve hundred (01200.00) dollaris
per annum;

One Stenographer for the Reoorder's Office, at a salary
on nine hundred ($900.00) dollars per annum.
Two Stenographers for the city court, at a salary of nine
hundred ($900.00) dollars eaoh, per annum, all of which salaries
shall be paid monthly as are the salaries of other employees.
