Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinanoe amending OUspter 56, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1913, by adding therein a new section to be '
known as Seotion 1228x1, relating to Superintendent of Street
Repairs.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
SECTION 1. That Chapter 56, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, 1913, be and the same is hereby amended by
adding in and to said Chapter a new section to be known as
Section 1228x1., relating to Superintendent of Street Repairs,
which said section shall read as follows:
Section 1228x1. There is hereby created
within the Department of Streets and Public Improvement
the office of Superintendent of Street Repairs. The
Board of Commissioners may appoint to the office of
Superintendent of Street Repairs a competent person
at a salary not to exceed Twenty-four Hundred Dollars,
(.2400.00) per annum, which officer shall report
directly to the Commissioner of Streets and Public
Improvements. The Superintendent of Street Repairs
shall have charge of the city repair plant and have
custody of all tools and l property used in conneotion
therewith and supervise over all employes assigned to

the Department of Street Repairs . It shall be the duty
of such officer to make all repairs in concrete and
asphalt paving of streets and sidewalks and to culverts
and conduits of Salt Lake City and perform such other duties
as may be required of him by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty-
one days after its passage.
