property on the uest side of -Jest Capi4o1 street and east side
of ':Tall Street, from 3rd North Street to Zane Avenue; the north
side of 4th North Street from Jest Ja.sitol to Columbus Street;
the east side of Columbus Street from 4th North Street to Girard
Avenue; the west side of Jall Street from 3rd to 4th North Street,
and the north side of 3rd North Street from :Jail to ','Jest Capitol
Street, in District Silos. at and 28, (Sidewalk Extension No. 221)
for the purpose of constructing concrete sidewalk.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Bake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Sidewalk District
Nos. 2.7 and 28 (Sidewalk extension No. 221), for the purpose of
constructing a concrete sidewalk, to-wit:
In Lots 4 and 3 of Blk. 19, slat "E", and
Lots 1 to 12, incl. of 311.. 5, Lots 1 and 5 of s11.. 6,
Lots 1 to 6 incl. of ,ilk. 7, Lot 6 of Blk. 8, Lots 2,
5, 6 and 7 of !ilk. 12, Slat "J", Salt Lake City Survey,
abutting on the ,lest side of Jest Capitol Street and mast
side of Weill street from 3rd North street to Zane Avenue;
the north side of 4th North Street from :lest Capitol to
Columbus Street; the east side of Jolumbus Street from
57 4th North Street to Girard Avenue; the west side of .';all

This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing;
sidewalk five (5) feet wide and four (4) inches thick, with three i
and one-quarter (34) inch base and three-quarter (4) inch topping,
upon the portion of said streets opposite the property hereinbeforej
and hereinafter described to be especially benefited and affected
by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and es-
tablished that said property will be especially benefited thereby
to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of
land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accord- 1
ance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said
streets fronting upon and to the entire depth bae]t therefrom, and
the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land
is Three Thousand, Six Hundred Fourteen and 42/100 (03,614.42)
Dollars, or One and 46/100 (01.46) Dollars per front or linear foot
of abutting property, there being 2475.63 feet of abutting proper- 1
ty within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above men-J
tioned in said district, which is the total abutters' cost and cost
ijper front foot of said sidewalk, according to the contract entered
into for the performance of said work and making said Improvement
with Christensen, JUceb & Gardner, Inc., dated the 21st day of
August, 1924, and the city Treasurer is hereby authorized and di-
rected to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordi-
nance, for the purposes herein mentioned:

The east side of Lot 4 and the east side of the north
7.81 ft. of Lot 3, of ylk. 19, Flat "L"; the west side of Lots 3,
4, 5 & 7 to 12. incl., the west side of the north 35.61 ft. of Lot
6, the test side of the south 7.22 ft. of Lot 6, the east side of
Lots 1 to 12 incl. and the south side of the east 125.5 ft. of Lot
1, of .elk. 5, Albsdx2Wk the east side of Lot 1, the vest side of
Lot 5, of P1k. 6, the south side of Lots 1 to 6 incl. of Slit. 7,

said parcels of land and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer-, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in aection I of
this ordinance in Sidewalk liistrict Nos. 27 and 28, (Sidewalk nix-
tension No. 221) of Saq.twake,.wity, for the purpose of constructing
a sidewalk upon said portions.Oft said streets, is hereby confirmed
and the assessments me. nd turned in said completed lists, and

of Commissioners of Uti].Tt, Ie4li y, are hereby ratified, approved
and confirmed. ., l
SECTION 3. Rid tax shall be payable in five equal year-
I
ly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest on
the whole sum unpaid at the rate of sixper cent per annum, pay- I
able at the time each installment is duo. In the event any install-
ment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same be-I
comes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time I
said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payabl ,
and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum
I
until the sale of the property assessed.
aECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publication.
