Result AN ORDINANCE C, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 18-15-3 and 18-15-36(d), Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to water samples from swimming pools. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Sections 18-15-3 and 18-15-36(d), Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to water samples from swimming pools, be, and the same hereby are, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 18-15-3. Application for operation permit. Application for such permit shall be made in writing upon forms to be furnished by the health department, which shall contain, among other things, the name and location of the pool, owner, manager, proposed season of operation, proposed source of water supply, proposed method of laundering, disinfecting and drying bathing apparel, and shall further indicate that compliance with these rules and regulations has been or will be effected. The application for a permit shall be made yearly and shall be accompanied by the fee required by Section 18-15-36(d)." "Sec. 18-15-36. Disinfection and quality of water. a. . b. . c. . d. At least one water sample shall be collected weekly from each pool while it is in use and shall be submitted to a laboratory, approved by the Utah State Division of Health. Analysis shall be completed and reported promptly by the pool manager to the Salt Lake City-County Health Department. To insure compliance, all applicants for permits shall deposit the sum of $25.00 or the sum of $5.00 per month for each month or fraction thereof that the pool shall be open during the permit year, whichever sum is greater. This deposit shall be returned at the end of the permit year if the permit holder has furnished the sample and analysis at his own expense. The deposit shall be forfeited to the City-County Health Department if the City-County Health Department personnel or facilities are used to take the sample or to make the analysis." e�/ -2- SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
