AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Item 5 (d) of Section 10-4-1 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 114 of 1959,
relating to branch circuits within the Electrical Code.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Item 5 (d) of Section 10-4-1 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 114 of 1959, relating
to branch circuits within the Electrical Code, be, and the same hereby is,
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 10-4-1. Regulations.

"Item 5. Branch circuits. * * *
"(d) No service disconnect in residences shall exceed six (6)
externally operated branch circuit devices in a common enclosure
and attached to a common bussing, without the installation of a
single main disconnect switch."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary
to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this
ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 25th
