AN ORDINANCE amending "An Ordinance amending Section 5 of Chapter
35 of the Revised Ordinances of 1892, relating to the speed of
railroad trains within the limits of Salt Lake City."

Section 1. The rate of speed of all locomotives, trains 1.
and cars operated by steam west of the ,east boundary of Third
r West Street and between Fourth South Street and Third North Street
�-,, in Salt Lake City, is hereby limited to not more than at the
r-- rate of twelve miles per hour, and the running of trains, cars or
locomotives within the.aforesaid limits at a greater rate of
speed than twelve miles per hour is hereby prohibited.
Section 2. Any violation of the foregoing section shall
render the offender liable to fine not exceeding $100.00 or im-
prisonment not exceeding one hundred days, or both such fine and
, imprisonment. -
Section 3. So much of Sectjon 5, of Chapter 35, of the
Revised Ordinances 'of Salt Lake City of 1892 as relates to the
speed of locomotives, trains and cars in all that portion of
Salt Lake City west of the east boundary line of Third West Street
is hereby repealed.
