An ordinance amending Section 856 of the kevised Ordin—
ances of Salt Lake City, Utah, of 1913, in regard to electric clocks,
etc.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SEOCIOTd 1. Chat section 856 of the -ievised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, of 1913, be and the sane is hereby amended
so as to read as follows:•,
Sec. 856. Electric Clocks, etc. It shall be unlawful
for any person, firm, association or corporation to engage in,
carry on, conduct or operate the business of leasing, renting, or
otherwise furnishing for hire electric clocks, electric time
pieces, market tickers or tape machines, within the corporate
limits of Salt Lake City without first procuring a lit ense so to do.
Persons required to pay a license under the provisions
of this section shall pay to Salt Lake City annually,in advance,
the sum of 0..00 for each clock or time piece leased, rented or
furnished; and 4.00 for each ticker or tape machine leased, rent—
ed or furnished.
On or before the lst day of January of each year, persons

eng .; ed in the business as provided in this section shall furnish
to the assessor of license taxes of said city a statement under
oath showing the number of electric clocks, time pieces, market
tickers or ta;.;e machines leased, rented, furnished or hired
during the preceding year.

SECTION 2. All or dinances and resolutions or parts
of ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repeal—
ed to the extent of such conflict.
,ECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
