AN ORDINANCE LEVYI1vG it TAN and for the assessment of
property on Indiana Avenue, Glendale to ].lth West, 7th South,
Glendale to Emery, 8th South, Jordan River to Glendale, Glendale,
7th South to Indiana, Emery, Arapahoe to 8th South, in Sewer District
No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 377) for the purpose of constructing a
sewer.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
CiLy, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment
of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer Dis-
trict No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 377) for the purpose of construct-
ing a sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 7 to 17 incl., Lot 18 of Blk. 2, Lots 1 to 8 incl.
of Blk. 3, Lots 1 to 9 incl. of Blk. 4, Lots 1 to 36 incl. of Blk.
5, Lots 2 to 16 incl. of Blk. 6, J. H. Phalon's Add., being a part
of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., H. 1 W., S.L.B.& M., Commencing 330' E. and
290' N. from the S.E.cor. of Lot 1, Blk. 1, Poplar Grove Add.;
thence N. 700', Commencing 330' E. and 1056' N. from the S.E.cor. of
Lot 1, Blk. 1, Poplar Grove Add.,;thence N. 264', being a part of
the 11.G.4 of the F1.'iJ.h of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 'W., S.L.B.a IS.,
Lots 1 and 16 of Blk. 3, J. H. Uhalon's Add., being a part of Sec. 11,
T. 1 S., H. 1 W. S.L.B.& IS., commending 66' east from the S.E.cor.
Lot 1, Blk:. 1, Poplar Grove Add.; thence east 264', being. part.,of
the N.W. of the N.V1.ti of "Sec. 11, T. 1 i:., R. 1 'W., N.L.B. & H,

R. 1 W., S."L.B.& Psi., and Lots 1 to 12 incl., 2nd Burlington Add.,
being a part of Sec. 11 T. 1 S., R. 1 'W., 0.L.B.& M., abutting on
both sides of Indiana Avenue, Glendale to llth "West, 7th South,
Glendale to Emery, 8th South, Jordan River to Glendale, Glendale,
7th South to Indiana, Emery, Arapahoe to 8th South.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
a vitrified and concrete pipe sewer from eight (8) inches in
diameter to twenty-one (21) inches in diameter, upon the portions
of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter
described to be especially affected and benefited by said improve-
ment and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established tht
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full
amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels of land are here-
by assessed at a uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot
frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to
the entire depth of said parcels of land back therefrom, and the
tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is
Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Ten and 13/100 ( 25,210.13)
dollars; Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred two and 21/100 (w19,802.2 )
dollars or Four and 49/100 (N4.49) dollars per front or linear
foot of abutting property for half rate, there being 4410.29 feet
abutting said improvement and Five Thousand Four Hundred Seven and
92/100 CA, 407.92) dollars or Five and 18/100 (jr5.18) dollars
per front or linear foot of abutting property for half rate includ
ing curb connections, there being 1044 feet abutting said improvem-nt,
which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewers acc.rd-
ing to the contract entered into for the performance of said work
and making said improvement with R. y. Campbell, dated the llth da
of October, 1920, and the Treasurer io hereby authorized and dir-
ected to assess in accordance with the rorovisions of this ordinance
for the purposes herein mentioned:

The S. side of the W. 86' of Lot 1, the S. side of the.
E. 85' of Lot 16, Bik. 3, J. H. Shalon's Add., being a part of
Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S.L.B.& Id., Commencing 66' East from
the S.E.corner Lot 1, Blk. 1, 'Poplar Grove Add.; thence E. 264',
Being a part of the N.W.i of the N.4.24 of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R.
1 4., S.L.B.& M.,the north. side of Lots 10 to 17 incl. of Blk. 4,
Glendale Add., and the north side of Lots 1 to 12 incl. of
2nd Burlington Add., Being a part of Sec. 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S.
L.B.& M., as the same are shorn upon the official plats of said
city to the entire depth of said parcels of lace:, and.Ic collect
said tax.
SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the proeertg described in Section I

of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 377)
of Salt Lain City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon
said portion of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the
assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the rep o, t
Iof the Board of Equalization and Eevie'c to the 'Board of Commissione' s
of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in five equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest
on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annuls,
payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any
installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
( same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
land payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent
per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its first publication. . 4-
