. t AN ORDINANCE AIs NDING SECTION 1883, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, relating to traffic.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1883, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to traffic, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1883. No driver of any vehicle shall
drive the same so as to pass or overtake any other ve-
hicle going in the same direction while crossing an in-
tersecting or connecting street or highway unless directed
so to do by police officer or traffic signal. At inter-
sections in the congested district, drivers of vehicles
shall follow the directions of traffic signals or markers,
or police officers.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective immedi-
ately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publi cation. ���/�/�
