AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and
10 OF CHAPTER 1, TITLE 25 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE
CITY, UTAH, 1965, REPEALING CHAPTERS 2, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, AND 9
OF SAID TITLE; ALSO REPEALING SECTIONS 9, 10 AND 19 OF CHAPTER 11
OF SAID TITLE; AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 25-1-1 OF SAID ORDINANCES,
RELATING TO CITY EMPLOYEE SALARIES AND BENEFITS.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 of
Chapter 1, Title 25 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City,
Utah 1965; Chapters 2, 4, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of said title,
and Sections 9, 10, and 19 of Chapter 11 of said title be
REPEALED.
SECTION 2. That Section 25-1-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 25-1-1. Compensation Program Adopted. The Compensa-
tion Administration Program for Salt Lake City Corporation
Employees, dated July 1 , 1981, is hereby adopted as the official
compensation plan for Salt Lake City employees. Copies of said
plan shall be maintained in the City Recorder's office for public
inspection and made available to employees within the various
departments of the City. The provisions of said plan shall be
effective under the terms thereof, commencing July 1, 1981,
except as it has been or may be amended from time to time by the
City Council by resolution or upon approval of Memoranda of
Understanding between the City and recognized employee bargaining
agents.
The plan herein adopted and any amendment or modification
thereto, shall not apply to officers or employees whose employ-
ment terminated prior to publication of this ordinance or to the
adoption of any amendment or modification to the plan.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon publica-
tion and shall be retroactive in effect to July 1, 1981.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 6th day of August , 1981.
