Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment 0f property
in the district bounded on the west by the west side of Thirteenth
East Street, on the north by the south side of Sunnyside Avenge; on
the east by the east side of Eighteenth East Street, e(nd on the
south by the south side of Tenth South Street (said sewer on
Thirteenth East Street, on Ninth South Street from Fairview Avenue
west, on Fairview Avenue, Williams Avenue (now Michigan Avenue)
from Fifteenth East Street east, and on Fifteenth East Street to
include four-inch house connections to back of curb) , in Sewer
District No. 1, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1,
for the construction of sewers, to-wit:
In Lots 58 to 107, inclusive, Block 8; 1 to 43, inclusive, and
48 to 52, inclusive, Block 21; 3 to 17, inclusive, Block 20, Douglas
Park Amended Plat Subdivision; 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9, Block 9, Douglas
Park Subdivision, all in Section 9, Township 1 south, Range 1 east,
Salt Lake Base and Meridian; 29 to 48, inclusive, College Heights
Subdivision; 1 to 25, inclusive, Block 1, Liberty Heights Subdivi-
sion, all in Block 11; 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 18, 19 and 20, Block

30; 3, 4 and 5, Block 29, all in Five Lore Plat "0"; 12 to 16, in-
clusive, Block 17-A, Five Acre Plat "A", all in Big Field Survey,
abutting on both sides of Hubbard Avenue between Fifteenth East

between Ninth South Street and Tale Avenue; on both sides of
Michigan Avenue between Thirteenth East and Fifteenth East Streets;
on both sides of Fifteenth East Street between Harvard Avenue and
Tenth South Street; and on both sides of Tenth South Street betwee.

This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
Nitrified end concrete pipe sewers upon the portions of said stree s
opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be
especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is
hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property wil
be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax here
by levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equa
and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied
and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is eighty-eight
hundred sixty-six and 87/100 (48866.87) dollars; fifty hundred
twenty-two and 12/100 (45022.12) dollars, or 76/100 (40.76p dollar=
li per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer in center
of streets, there being 6608.06 feet abutting said portion of sai.

from the southwest corner of Lot 58, Block 8, Douglas Park Amended
Plat Subdivision, thence north 388.39 feet, being part of Lots 10
and 11, Block 30; beginning 164.95 feet west from the northwest
corner of Lot 43, Block 21, Douglas Park Amended Plat Subdivision,
thence south 795.11 feet, being parts of Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10, Bloc
30; the east side of Lot 20, the east side of the north 227.1 feet
of Lot 1, Block 30; the west side of the south 110.55 feet of Lot

of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to collect
said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each
installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years afte
said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four
lyears after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth thereo.
II in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more
of said installments, tat in the order in which they are payable,
or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty
days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes

effective, without interest. In the event of any installment or
the interest aforesaid not being paid on the day the same becomes
due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said
installment and interest ate due, shall become due and payable, an.
shall draw interest at the rate of eight per oent per annum until
the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more install-
ments, in the order in which they are payable, or the.whole speci-I
tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment beoomee,due, b•
paying the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordin$nae shall take effeot'=one.day after
its first publication.
