Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same a oe the property hereinafter described in Paving Districts Nos. 30 and 32 (Paving. Extension No. 128) , for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering, constructing drainage system and private driveways, installing water services, and paving thereof, to-wit: In part of Section 33, To-eninip 1 north, Bangs 1 east, Salt Lake Base ;and Meridian; in Lots 1 and 4, Block 1, Plat "Gtt, Salt Lake City Survey; 1 and 60, Block 2; 1 to 16, inclusive, Block 1, Federal heights Subdivision, Fort Douglas Military Reservation; 24 to 48, inclu. ive, Block 6; 1 to 7, inclusive, Block 7; 1 and 7, Block 0; and 25 to 35, inclusive, Block 11, Popperton Place 6 -1- r Subdivision, Section 33, To'eenip 1 north, .2.ange 1 east, Salt Lal(e Base and. Heridian, abutting on both sides of Virginia. This tax is levied. to defray the exl)ense of grading, curbing and guttering with cement, where curb and gutter have not already been constructed, constructing drainage system to carry water along and across streets and intersections, of vitrified and concrete pies twelve (12) inches in diameter, constructing private driveways, installing eater services, end paving with bituminous concrete (said pavement to be thirty (30) feet bet:Teen curbs on Second Avenue and Alta Street, thirty-five (35) feet between curbs on Virginia Street between South Temple Street and Second Avenue, and forty (40) feet wide on Virginia Street Seventy (70) feet nort from Second. SEC'TIOD 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in ten egaa1 yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of s'.a per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof i_ Sour years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth there- of in five years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tent thereof in six years after said ordinance becomes effective; one- tenth thereof in seven years after said ordinance becomes eftecti one-tenth thereof in eiht years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in nine years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-tenth thereof in ten years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of said installments, i the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax, ma, be paid at any time within thirty days after the ordinance con- firming the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of the proper' -5- assessed; provided, one or more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by paying, the amount thereof and interest to said date. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after its first publication. Paving Extension No. 128.
